As a music composer, music researcher, and software engineer; I have a lot of ideas for how to put the power of music creation in your hands.

My most grandiose vision for Monic Theory starts with you at home: an offline orb you hold in your hand, connected to Bluetooth speakers.

It is the size of an orange and firm to the touch, and it responds to your gestures with an amber glow. As you trace your finger across the surface, a light blue path follows your touch and creates a melody.

Monic Theory transforms your gesture into a walk through harmonic space. An entire score resounds through your house: a lively, inviting symphony composed for you!

All aspects of composition (tempo, harmony, rhythm, and melody) are tunable at any time. Each room carries a distinct setting, scoring a profile for any occasion.

Monic Theory enables you to create music mood templates for your life at home.
In fact, Monic Theory drives dynamic experiences anywhere music exists.

Your Whirlpool washer and dryer sing a new variation on their theme with every completed cycle. When you tire of this motif, a button press generates the next theme.

At the mall, every store owns its own sound. Uniqlo, H&M, J. Crew, Barnes & Noble, Bath & Body Works, Foot Locker: they all design branded radio with Monic Theory, turning their brand into a distinct musical genre. In-store shoppers experience a perfect mix of in-house originals between Top 40 hits. Big box stores hire full time composers and arrangers to create and manage their audio identity.

Bringing it back home, the games sold at GameStop let you build your own soundtrack during gameplay. The music moves with you in the game, responding to each scene and every frame. Your inventory and quest progress directly update the music in the game.
